Operation of Wall-less Hall Effect Micro-thruster (Wall-less HEMT)

Micro-thruster is intended for installing in nanosatellites with the aim to compensate atmospheric drag in low orbits, keeping a required distance between nanosatellites in the constellation and performing other operations in space.
The main advantage of the Xenon Wall-less Hall Effect Micro-thruster in comparison with other types of Hall Effect Thrusters for nanosatellites is essentially higher operation lifetime. Besides, the estimations show that the modification of Wall-less HEMT with metallic propellant which is currently under development should also provide the highest efficiency.
